How To Withdraw Money From Payoneer in South Africa

Payoneer is a global payments platform where you can send and receive payments from abroad. If you are making money through affiliate marketing on Amazon’s Associated program or online surveys on platforms like Clixsense, you will need to have a Payoneer account .

If you don’t have one already you can create a Payoneer account and you will be able to transact internationally and get payments from abroad seamlessly.

After you have worked to earn your money from clients abroad, it is now time to access your money. The process is an easy and seamless one laid out below:

Withdraw From Payoneer To Your Bank Account

You can withdraw your money at any time of the day in just a few clicks.

1: Login to your Payoneer Account.

You will be taken to the main interface. In this instance, go to the “Withdraw” option near the top left of the screen. When you click on Withdraw, you will get a dropdown and from here you can click “To Bank Account”.

2: Choose Bank Account To Withdraw To

If you have not yet entered a bank account, you will be shown a screen that gives you the option to add a new bank account. Click Add New and follow the instructions to set up your bank account.

If you have an account, you can proceed to choose the details of your withdrawal by selecting the currency that you want to draw from.

3: Choose Amount To Withdraw

After choosing the account, select the account that you want to send the money to, and the amount that you want to send. There are minimum and maximum amounts that you can draw in a transaction.

For me, since I use a dollar account, the minimum is $50 and the maximum is $10,000. There is a field for account description but this is not a must and you can proceed without adding a description.

4: Complete The Withdrawal

After inputting the transaction details, you can press review to get the full particulars of the transaction. This includes the amounts, the bank account, as well as the transaction fee that you will be charged for the withdrawal.

If you need to change anything you can click edit and change the required details. If everything is correct, confirm the details by clicking to check the box above the withdraw button, then click withdraw to have the money sent to your account.

You will see receive a confirmation of your withdrawal request. You will also receive an email to confirm this. Whoohoo! Your money is now on the way. It will take 3-5 days for the transaction to clear and for the money to reach yo0ur account.

Payoneer Card

Money from your Payoneer account can also be withdrawn into a Payoneer card. It is a MasterCard debit card with the withdrawal limit of the amount that you have prepaid into it.

The card is optional and can be ordered as soon as your account is set up. you can use your Payoneer card at any places where MasterCard is accepted. There are associated fees with the card that can be fined on the Payoneer fees page.

The withdrawal process into your Payoneer card is the same as above, with the difference being that in Step 2 you will choose the debit card instead of a bank account.

The benefit of the card is that it is not linked to your account and the only money that can be drawn from the card is money that you have withdrawn to the card. So in the event of your card being lost, the only money that can be drawn is the amount that is on the card. The rest of the money in your account is not at risk.

In any event, nobody wants to lose out on any of their hard-earned money. If you believe that your Payoneer card is lost and stolen, you must report it to Payoneer as soon as possible so that it can be cancelled.

  1. Hi Greg,
According to SA law, if you hold funds in a foreign currency account (eg paypal), you legally have to withdraw them into your SA account within 30 days of receiving such funds. How do you manage this if you receive small, regular payments and don’t wish to pay a bunch of individual transaction fees?

  2. I cannot withdraw money from my Payoneer account in the USA to my ABSA account in Pretoria, South Africa. When I give details of my account number to Payoneer they do not provide me with a space to insert my ABSA branch code nor do they provide me space to insert ABSA Swift number. Hence I cannot receive my payments. Please help.

  5. Assuming you have an Absa account, is there a point in setting your banks currency to USD instead of Rand to make use of lower conversion rates for transfers? The payoneer account is in USD, but their market + 2% was me wondering

  7. Hi Greg
I was trying to pay Clickbank using direct payment, and it was canceled does this mean I must open payoneer?
On clickbank what must select because I want to buy, not to sell or promote any product.
